Can anyone find the performance from the AMA's? I can't

Thanks Princess

Those bloody backdrops ruin it.

Love the song though, the thing I like when she does BALLIDS is that you can't tell the different between it being a Gwen song or a No Doubt song. The upbeats are much more distinguishable, one feels

#7 on US iTunes after she performed on The Voice (and she's #3 if you discount that four of the songs ahead of her are 'The Voice' live performances from contestants)

Up to #3 properly now, and she has another performance on The Tonight Show Jimmy Fallon tonight.

I wonder if they'll try this properly in the UK in the new year? Her live performances are what are selling it in America and she still probably has enough cache that she could've got an X Factor slot, but that window has clearly passed.

I was just thinking, this needs a UK push, and yes high profile performances. If they do she'll prob do The Voice in January

I love that this is actually doing pretty well (in spite of radio pretending it doesn't exist because she's over 40). I feel vindicated for the years and years of insisting she/No Doubt need a good ballad to win back the crowd.

So an album has been announced. "This Is What the Truth Feels Like... "

Tracklist announced on Twitter

1.'Misery'
2.'You're My Favorite'
3.'Where Would I Be?'
4.'Make Me Like U'
5.'Truth'
6.'Used to Love You'
7.'Send Me a Picture'
8.'Red Flag'
9.'Asking 4 It'
10.'Naughty'
11.'Me Without You'
12.'Rare'

No date yet though :eyes:

And FOUR EXTRA SONGS on a US "Target Exclusive" cd

This is REALLY BEGINNING TO PISS ME OFF as a CD buyer. I haven't bothered with either Adele or Sia yet thanks to this (though I will invest in both when I'm in New York at the end of the week)

It's out March 18th!

"Make Me Like You" premieres Monday

Well I much prefer this route compared the other two singles she sharted out last year.

So 'Baby Don't Lie' and 'Light the Fire' (presumably written for or with Gavin in mind...) don't make the cut. I wonder if she's ever going to acknowledge those songs after the divorce!

I've pretty much converted to just buying vinyl now to be honest. I get a free mp3 download with it anyway. It's a sad time but I'd have to say my CD buying days are nearly over.

But I digress.

But I digress.

I buy second hand vinyl but I actually did a RATHER CLOSE UP LISTENING COMPARISON THING a couple of years ago and realised that vinyl really DOESN'T beat the sound quality of a CD at ALL, no matter what the HIPSTERS say. I still like them as items, but I pretty much gave up buying new vinyl at that point...bar Saint Etienne related items and the odd one I find cheap with the cd bundled in it.

By the way I still like this song and I though that performance she did on the American Voice (or whatever it's called) was pretty spectacular.

Oh of course it doesn't. I would never 'just' buy vinyl - but with new releases like, say, John Grant, Goldfrapp etc. you get a free mp3 download as well at a pretty good quality so sometimes that's enough for me.

I just think it's still extortionate to spend £8.99 on an album on iTunes. It's disgusting. I would consider going fully digital if they slash the prices of new releases to under a fiver or something and perhaps that's what they should do.

And of course for the older stuff I always do my charity shop / second hand vinyl thing and of course the old Amazon CD bargain where you pay 1p plus shipping. :disco:

And P.S. I fucking despise Spotify - I truly think it's evil and it's destroying the music industry as we know it from the inside but again, I digress.

Baby Don't Lie was passable

Quite like that she's gone for a whole concept - its made her seem more determined and focused than she has been since her first album.

I wonder if she will get any kind of UK push. Still waiting for her to come over here for 'Used to Love You'

currently obsessed (let me reobsess myself?) with this FANTASTIC SONG!

somebody (I think Ig or Tisch) said recently that the production feels a bit cheap but I couldn't agree less, I think it's low key but well done. let's face it, the song is ALL about her utterly marvellous and quite DESPERATE vocal.

I don't know why I try...
I DON'T I DON'T I DON'T!

in a more just pop landscape it would've been a big hit.

It was that awful GINNEL!

'Make Me Like You' is up there with her best singles in my opinion.

'Used To Love You' is also lovely, but is let down by the production. It sounds a bit cheap and tinny.
