Haiku's Music of Asia Archival Adventures II (1980-2004) January 2nd @13:30 GMT

Song 2: May Lan - Nong Zhuang Yao Gun (Heavy Make-Up Roll ?? that translation can't be right :D) (1984 China)
Some Disco now! May Lan seems to have been present in the 80s but didn't do much after the mid-90s. Presumably China wasn't in the mood to GO DISCO DANCE anymore. :(

I love it, but then I do love pop fluff and 80s stuff and going to disco dance

I hope they were named after 'Allo 'Allo star Vickie Michelle

I'm often aghast to discover the ways other people deal with watching video content here

Song 3: Michelle & Vickie - Dúlì (Independant) (2004 Taiwan)
Girl group that formed in 2004, more fluff pop!

Normally I add it to my Youtube account library, then I can just play that on my Firestick
In your YouTube app on your phone, do you see this icon?

(The first one)

If so, click it and it should hopefully give a list of devices to cast to, including your fire stick. THEN come back to Moopy, click the title in the embedded video and it should take you back to the app and a 'play'/'play all' option

Ooh I forgot about that! I'll try!

Song 4: CoCo Lee - A Love Before Time (2000 Hong Kong)
Featuring cello by the legendary Yo-Yo Ma, this is the weepy woman I was speaking of. I ABSOLULTEY LOVE IT. :disco:

CoCo Lee has the honour I believe of being the first Asian woman to perform at the Acadamy Awards! :o

This is absolutely gorgeous! I love it

It's a shame CoCo Lee's English debut album was very middle of road poppy (NOT A BAD THING BUT IN THE CONTEXT), from memory her ballads in English were quite solid.

Not the fast food ads being interrupted by a Dominos ad by my YouTube!

You know, I LOVE seeing evil capitalist corporations' logos in Chinese or Russian or whatever
