HAIM 2023 - Days Are Gone 10th Anniversary Vinyl (not a new album)

Don't know if this is simply a new album (which it's about time for) or something Days Are Gone related (which turns 10(!!!) in September btw - I still consider them a fairly "new" band

While I would admittedly rank the albums in order of release, I'm still listening to them often and always very keen to keep an eye on what they do.

I actually think their last album has their best work on it (I mean, 'Hallelujah' alone - shaking, crying, throwing up) but happy for them to squeeze out some legacy coins from the debut.

MY FAVOURITE BAND IN THE WORLD

I need need need to see them live. I've probably said this before but my gig to see them in Dublin was cancelled in 2020. I love them so much. Every album has been a joy. I wish there were more bands doing this sort of fresh take on Americana Pop (everyone send me recommendations if they have any).

They were great live last summer, not that I've listened to them at all since. Their newest album had some of my favorite of their work on it (particularly Don't Wanna), but their first is still the best for me. Excited for this

I agree, their debut is their strongest album and has my favourite HAIM songs on it - Days Are Gone, Honey and I, The Wire, If I Could Change Your Mind...

WIMPIII is probably more consistent front to back and also has a few classics on offer. and the second album was strong too, with fewer highs. they don't really miss and I'm READY FOR MORE!

I just love how much they wind up tedious 'real music' gear bros who are desperate to 'prove' that they can't/don't play their instruments which isn't misogynist at all, honest, it's just about...other stuff.
