Never mind “Pure And Simple”, this is Hear’Say’s magnum opus single. Myleene agrees btw. It’s so uplifting and it’s a shame it didn’t happen internationally as I think especially in Sweden or in the Nordics, it could have been huge, this pseudo-Max Martin sound was popular back then. And I know their story ended the way it ended, but having this banger in their back catalogue, they should be proud regardless.

What do you think?

One of the most Swedish Schlager-coded UK #1s since the mid 80s.

It’s a shame they were an ITV creation. They could have bought an extra 15 minutes by taking this to Eurovision and building a second season of Popstars around that.

I don’t think ANY of their singles stand up these days. Pure and Simple is so DRAB.

This was decent, nothing more nothing less. How many SINGALS did they release in total? Was it THREE?

FOUR The official charts co tells me. I need to remind myself of EVERYBODY and Lovin' is Easy.

The negative chemistry that Kym and Myleene have in their middle eight bit :D

Pretty sure I played the quite relentless Almighty mix most back when but I don't think I remember the Metro-esque Jewels and Stone mix:

Under no circumstances does anyone need to remind themselves of Everybody.
I actually have both the albums & liked all the singles. I preferred the the 5ive sounding Everybody to 5's song. Perhaps it was cos it featured women lol. Lovin' Is Easy was my fave. The supossed follow which was given to Girls Aloud was AWFUL.

What was the follow up to Lovin is Easy supposed to be?
