Hellraiser remake (2022)

Well I watched it and I liked it! It's not as grimey or kinky as the original and there's a distinct lack of Julia, but the setpieces are good, the guys are hot and the new Pinhead really works.

I don't think anything's going to match up to the first two, but that's fine.

It's got a different feel all round, but you can tell it's been put together with love and attention, and it shows

Well I enjoyed that a lot! It wasn't perfect, but it felt like a fresh take on the story and kept very true to the themes of the series, though there were quite a few changes to the previously established rules. Jamie Clayton was a fabulous new Pinhead - in fact all of the Cenobites were brilliant, and I enjoyed that for the most part they maintained the stillness and presence that's always been a big part of the effectiveness for me.

Streaming is so confusing these days. Ugh so I shall have to pluck it from the ethereal realm then and watch that way I suppose
