When I saw that 'Mature' was right down the tracklisting on the albam, like track #7 or something I did think she'd have other potentially less fluffy singals, as much as I love 'Mature' too

Social media mavens are all a-twitter with a new theory, that Lizzie McGuire star Hilary Duff is a “secret Scientologist.”

Although Duff has never been included on lists of Scientology celebrities, this new obsession among the Tik Tok set appears to be based on two pieces of “evidence.”

First, that she is estranged from her older sister, Haylie, and that Hilary is very close friends with Scientology celebrity and Walking Dead actress Alanna Masterson. The proponents of this theory claim that Alanna would not be so tight with a non-Scientologist, and that Hilary’s estrangement from Haylie resembles Scientology “disconnection.”

We hadn’t heard anything indicating that Hilary was involved in Scientology, but we thought we would at least reach out to someone who might have a better chance of knowing one way or the other, and that’s Mitch Brisker, Scientology’s recently-defected former film director who was around a lot of the church’s celebrities over his time.

We told Mitch that the Internet was burning up with speculation about whether Hilary Duff was a Scientologist.

“Wow, the Internet really needs to get a life!” he responded.

Did he happen to see Hilary Duff at the Scientology functions that he attended?

“Can’t say I ever heard a peep about Hilary Duff,” he replied.

But what about her being so tight with Alanna Masterson?

“Being friends with a Scientologist is no qualifier. It’s not uncommon for public Scientologists, especially in creative fields, to have a friends and associates who are not in Scientology,” he said.

We always keep in mind that Scientology celebrities get to break rules as long as they’re bringing in money. And if Alanna wants to be close to a non-Scientologist, that’s not something that would jeopardize her standing in the church.

As for the Duff sisters being estranged, it also doesn’t really provide any proof of Scientology involvement. Plenty of people in this world cut others out of their lives for various reasons.

Well, unless something more solid turns up, at this point we’re pretty skeptical about the “secret Scientologist” theory regarding Hilary Duff.

I really like both mature and roommates but I prefer mature. I'm looking forward to her new album!
 
Does anyone else have her album metamorphosis? It's a pretty good pop album, I was pleasantly surprised.
