Hit Man (new Richard Linklater)

So far along with Saltburn this has been the highlight of my LFF experience. Not really a typical festival film, it’s a terribly fun action/comedy and best watched with an audience.

I can’t find a trailer yet, but Glen Powell (more like Hot Man than Hit Man) is very very funny and incredibly charismatic.

In cinemas now ready for Netflix in June! Watched it again today.

I liked this a lot, but it felt like it needed an extra draft to add in a few more jokes and a sharper/twistier plot. As it stands I found it a bit WISHY WASHY

I’d have loved to have seen the Coen Brothers doing it, in the vein of Intolerable Cruelty.
