It does take a while to get going and I found the premise of the novel he was writing to be far more interesting. It reminded me of Unwelcome from a few years ago. It was hard to root for him because he was such a prick for most of the movie, too.
Meh. I was excited for this because the director's previous one (Oddity) was excellent, but I didn't get much out of this. The scene with the dumb waiter and the first few glimpses of the
witch
were
great and creepy, but there wasn't much suspense other than that.
