HONK for tuesday

I have two days of annual leave this week, so this Tuesday is actually my Friday. HONK.

I like driving a very tory car and honking for picket lines. I also like shouting fuck the tories in very tory places. I hope Sir Brady heard me.

Help I can’t stop listening to Cilla’s version of Knowing Me Knowing You

As well as the strikers, please send your good vibes to Mr COB today as he's in an all-day interview and assessment centre thing for a graduate job 🙏

We're on the train back to the island. I have fallen a little bit I'm love with London and the Lower Marsh area.

Not back again now until October for Madonna :(

Lower marsh is nice. Did you go to Vaulty towers? And the graffiti tunnel on Leake street?

We did the graffiti tunnel several times as it was our chosen route out of where we were staying. We went past Vaulty Towers but each time we wanted to go in it was packed.

So we went to a little cafe called The Glitch for a drink.

We wanted to go see a show at the Vault but there was nothing happening on a Monday :(

We did discover a lovely bakery tho. Little Peddlar or something. And Pizza Pilgrim's.

It's world book day this week. I think it's the worst part of being a parent is having to come up with these costumes

My sister was just moaning about having to drive up to the retail park to buy an outfit for 20 quid that'll be worn for 4 hours :D

I'm so glad to be an uncle.

Where are all these random new people coming from by the way? Are we trending for Ariana DeBoise on google or something? @Administrator

This will be his third degree and second Masters, so not as young as you're thinking (although obviously he's STILL YOUNG :StillYoung:)

Yeah that's clearly nonsense too. In it for the long haul though, four months of being a member.

I'm too tight to spend a penny, but that means I'll spend a ridiculous amount of time making one out of cardboard and felt.

I hated having to make costumes, spawn's primary school were buggers for making them dress up. The best/worst one was when I had to make her a Tudor costume, that took all of my sewing-machine skills but she looked the best in the class. Don't worry, in a few short years you'll never have to make another costume again when it becomes "pay a fiver not to wear uniform" day at senior school.

A fiver?!

Was only £1 in my day

The tenancy enforcement officer for the local council was doing door-to-door on our street today getting testimonials about the nightmare neighbour. He's not been in the flat for a while now, we assumed he's either in clink or been sectioned and she wasn't allowed to say which was the case but she just said "his possible scheduled return" and raised her eyebrows. Mr F had a half-hour chat with her about him and mentioned that it was a shame I was at work because I'd had lots of problems with him over the years (he has a problem with women) and told her a couple of the things he'd done so she's left her mobile number so I can ring her tomorrow and give her all the juicy details.

I'm all for live and let live but I've dealt with this scrotey little barsteward hanging out of his window shouting obscenities at me for seven years and now it's my turn. My favourite day was last summer when the rozzers bashed his door down and took him away in a van, I was working from home so was able to stand at the front door cheering with the rest of the street.

I just think people should save their money buying costumes and buy a book for the school library instead.

Possible costumes:

The Raven from The Raven
The mice from Of Mice and Men
The grapes from Grapes of Wrath

I got a job offer today for a job I really wanted but was convinced I wouldn't get. the salary is great, the client is great, I'm so excited. I sent my resignation email and quoted the lyrics to Sky Fits Heaven as a justification for going :disco: slay!

Hi Huns. I was at my ex mother in laws funeral today and it was terribly emotional. As much as things were terrible with my ex husband I still really got on with her and she was an absolute star. :(
