Can imagine this being actually quite BONE CHILLING in certain contextsKind regards![]()

This is a good point actually. I'm taking more measures to be a bit more assertive in my emails recently and trying to avoid phrases like "Sorry" and "if you have time could you please..." etc. I just went through my last few sent mails after this thread and I've dropped the "Thanks" and the sign-off's from a lot of them actually.I don’t like using Thanks too often because it implies that if I’m asking something of them, they’ve already agreed to do it. Would really only use for my own team.
Who here uses the FURTHER TO MY PREVIOUS EMAIL line?
I quite like it combined with the passive agressive sign off KIND REGARDS.
Tell you what else I hate: people who use "Have a great weekend" on a Friday because all that means is "do not reply to this, I've done everything I'm going to do today, save it for next week".
That’s almost as bad as the insincere “Hi hope you are well” but don’t actually tell me as I don’t care.
There's a girl at work who starts every e-mail to everyone with "hope your well" and i just don't have the heart to tell her.
A plain thank you, which is not on the list so thanks is closest I guess. Most of my emails will be to colleagues I haven’t met so thanks seems too informal for the opening one.
