Freezing fog this morning, lovely.

Back in the office. Still a bit cold-ridden but not ill enough to justify bunking it again. I'd only end up with too much to do on Monday so, here we are.

Yeah December seems to have taken forever to get here for me as well.

Mainly because we've already made 4 batches of Christmas pudding fudge that we don't usually do this early on.

Our bedroom windows are dripping in condensation :( I need some moisture traps.

It’s my work Xmas party this evening, so I’m gonna be much less arsed today than usual.

I’ve sacked my one member of staff just in time to avoid having to host any sort of Christmas party, which is frankly, a GODSEND.

Just checked. It's on a night when I'm genuinely doing something else, not that I'd be going anyway.

And if anyone asks me if I'm going, I will tell them I'm not because I don't want to, rather than because I'm busy.

December! Tonight I am alone, and shall celebrate my solitude by ordering a takeaway and watching crap TV. A perfect night :disco:

Sometimes I wonder WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME? I'm so antisocial these days, I'd rather be at home.

It's an inevitable part of ageing. I feel the same way and I was always a party boy.

The thing for me that has changed the most is the pub. If we had nothing to do, we'd just go to the pub. That rarely happens anymore and I miss it entirely.

Maybe it's the three and three-quarter years of dealing with people during a pandemic, when a good 70% of the population decided they were the main character and could therefore be generally horrible, entitled and rude to everyone.

One of our teams is having their Christmas lunch today and it is bad shirts ahoy.

Ours isn't until the 21st so I still have 20 days to get out of it.

If I can hop on the car and go somewhere not too far I'm fine. But honestly the effort these days of getting a train and going somewhere is just TOO MUCH.

I couldn't tell you the last time I had a takeaway. Maybe tonight's the night, cheer myself up a bit.

Oh yes, the London conundrum.

Yeah, FUCK THAT for going out. Mr Sheena took me to a really lovely expensive restaurant for my birthday a couple of weeks ago and it was a 20 minute train journey. I thought the whole thing required basically a MILITARY level of planning and even getting that (for Portsmouth) "rural" last train home was a mess I don't want to repeat in a hurry.

Oh, it's Bandcamp Friday. I had forgot. There must be some prime audio boo going up...

Absolutely! I’m going to order a Nandos I think, I know it’s a BIT BASIC but I can make it vaguely healthy should I wish and it’s a reliable service

Me and Mr Ag are both off, so we're braving the cold to POP TO DUNELM MILL for floor to ceiling curtains for our rubbish front door.

I'm sitting in a cafe on an out of town shopping centre, psyching myself up for Smyths Toy Superstore. It's 2° here, and there are still men in shorts.

I was in town to get my bandage contact lens removed, but they said my eye hasn't healed enough yet so I've to go back tomorrow morning. I'm sick of it now, my eye feels so uncomfortable and it's permanently blurry - this is what I imagine having a cataract is like. I feel like it's slightly less sensitive to light now, though I did have my sunglasses on for my trip into town (and yes I felt like a DICK because of it :tongueout:)

I am shortly about to depart for the Isle of Arran, which means I get to go on a ferry for the first time in I think a decade. Love a ferry.

I have decided that spending tomorrow night in a caravan might not be that much fun.

I've got some vinyl coming in the post tomorrow.

Which is nice.

I've just been given a stress toy shaped like a llama in a Secret Santa and, I'll be honest, it's delightful.

I think it's an age thing to be honest. I used to love socialising and seeing friends, now I cannot be bothered. I'll see the ones I really like, but so many now I have no interest in seeing, especially in the winter when it's far too cold to go out.

Even my flat is cold today  off to a beer festival tonight though so I'm sure a few 8% ciders will warm me up

You're such enablers Moopy, all I want now is a takeaway and some cider.

People are definitely starting their Christmas shopping today. The only things we've sold today has been gift boxes with Christmas sticker requests :disco:
