How long have you had your tv for?

I’ve shrunk a few jumpers by accident in the dryer but otherwise it’s fine. Stand alone dryers are much better than combo washer-dryers.

We’re having an issue right now in our rented flat as we share a utility room with the person downstairs. She is a young student who moved in a short time ago and is doing an disproportionate amount of washing and drying - enough for a family of 5+ so we think she’s operating some kind of laundry business for people at her Uni, and she doesn’t even use the Eco settings. Whenever I pass by the dryer is running - I sneakily lower the timer too when I see it as she sticks it on for far too long. When we get our next electricity bill we’re goong to kick up a stink and make her pay for more of it.
 
one hour for a wash! I usually wash at 30, it takes three hours for a full load
 
I bought my tv when we got the flat three years ago. a smart Samsung Thing. I expect it to last a long time, I don't need more HD or 4K
 
I do all my washes 40 degrees for 1hr 30mins. We can go as quickly as just over an hour on an economy wash. Astonishingly we still have cheaper electric overnight electricity (or economy 7 as I recall it being called as a child in the 1940s) so we set the machine to go off at 6am and then ready to hang when we get up.

In terms of drying I have a heated airer in our spare room, which is good for the winter months.

we do delayed start too, machine is done when we got out of bed. I want the same for my coffee machine and toaster
 
This is why it’s so great having a shared laundry room. In our laundry room we have three big washing machines, one big tumble dryer, one big drying closet and one room for ”air drying”. Washing at 60 takes only 40 mins, at 40 and 30 only 25-30 mins.

In my new flat (moving in about a year) I’ll have my own washing machine and tumble dryer and I dread to think how I’ll manage to dry my clothes without having to hang them all over the flat.

I got this rack which is sorta vertical instead of taking up lots of space to the sides. great for a small place. did you buy an apartment?
 
Yes, I did earlier this year. Moving date is scheduled for end of August next year.

A vertical dryer is what I need.
 
We got a lovely new LG smart TV in the January sales. The one before that we bought in about 2009.

Our cooker, on the other hand, we got second hand and I'm pretty sure it's older than me.
 
Thanks! It’s not big but bigger than my current flat. It has three French balconies and it’s one of my favourite areas of Stockholm.
 
Because they just started digging the ground. It’s being built from scratch.

I have a Samsung 4K tv that I’ve had for a year. I barely use it. Last one lasted over 10 years, but I only used it during its first year.
 
we can use it for a balloon and glitter dvd so we don't mess up the place too bad
 
also three French balconies. couldn't they have made one of them regular size so you could sit on it?
 
Oh hang on, is a French Balcony just basically a tall window?
 
you can hang some flowers on the railing and sit with your feet out. they look pretty though

Oh they are nice enough. They just aren't balconies. Well, at least except not to estate and letting agents.

I know right :(

The flat has only French balconies and no regular windows, meaning that I can’t have my plants on the window sills on the inside.
 
I googled the translation and it said it’s called a French balcony in English. :evil:
 
Apparently the difference is that a Juliet balcony is just a balustrade across doors and a French balcony is more of a 'false balcony' setup.

Juliet balcony sounds so gay, I’m glad a femme queen like me wouldn’t have to live with such a thing.
