I’m already pissed and it’s only 5pm but there’s no Sunday thread

We were up nice and early today. So went out for a lovely breakfast and now I am back home preparing our late Sunday Lunch. Maybe I am a feeder?

S'up? This has been one lazy weekend. I've just watched a couple of comedies, spun a pile of CDs and tightened up a few works-in-progress. Irie.

@Floppet I REALLY want to see the blood moon tonight. Do you know what time it is likely to show? I am seeing different reports online. :confused:

I've no idea, it's only a lunar eclipse and I assumed it was for southern hemisphere only.

Optimal viewing time is between 4.41am and 5.43am. It starts at about 2.30am, maximum eclipse is 5.15am and it finishes at 7.48am.

Wait. So it’s not a blood red moon? I don’t want to be crawling out of bed at 5am for NOTHING.
 
Different if one was crawling into bed at 5am.

My first alarm is due off at 5.20 anyway. ( :( )

No, it just looks orangey because there's a shadow on it, I wouldn't even consider dragging my arse out of bed for it. Lunar eclipses are usually pants, solar eclipses are the ones to watch because it's just so eerie when the birds suddenly stop singing, the temperature drops and it starts going dark. I can fully understand how ancient people thought that solar eclipses were the work of witches, devils and demons.

This is my problem with the press naming things Supermoon and Blood Moon when they're really just full moons, people get all excited thinking the moon's going to look massive or blood red and it's just a disappointment for them when it's just the moon, same as it usually is but maybe a bit orangey and not shining like it usually does.

Nervous I think. Not old, he’s about the same age as me so he’s in the PRIME OF LIFE (shut up everyone)

Surprised because it wasn’t that big, you’d think it would make it easier.

I think I was more disappointed because we hardly talked, just met at the metro station, went to his and immediately went for it
 
Oh and super blood wolf moon :D Jesus, even the moon has to be overblown by the media.

I had never heard wolf moon though, apparently it’s the second full moon in January. I always thought a second full moon was a blue moon (not visually of course), but I suppose given the eclipse that might be misleading
 
I am fed up of Winter now. I now know why my Mother pisses off abroad until April. :angry:
