We have a bean to cup machine (Delonghi). Coffee tastes amazing and has lasted us for years. Was about £300 though, so not too budget friendly.

I'm having the quandary now for my niece and her boyfriend who exchanged contracts yesterday. I'd like to get her some sort of kitchen gadget, but I don't want to buy her something that will just sit in a box.

Perhaps I just ought to get her a John Lewis voucher and let her get something online, but it feels like a cop out.

I'm going to go for some sort of cafetiere, some coffee for it, and I think the George foreman grill because we find it really useful.

Strangely proud of this one managing to pull it together to get a mortgage to get a tidy little house here though. She's only a couple of years older than I was when I managed it in the nineties, and the house we bought was less than twice our combined salary then. It only took us six months to save a deposit!

Yes that's really quite impressive! I know of people my age in London who can't even get enough for a flat.

Well it isn't London prices here. But I imagine it's one of the most expensive places outside the M25.
