I expect LOADS when you do.
Robin Gibb (as part of the Bee Gees)
Did he?He had a number one in his own right too.
Yeah are any whole bands DEAD? Hoping for the Stargazers.
No-one asked. Also Scatman John didn't get to #2. If you're going to profess chart facts at least get them right. There are a lot of #2 dead stars when you think about it: Kirsty MacColl, Natalie Cole, Luther Vandross, The London Boys, Percy Sledge, Sam Cooke, Scatman John, Bob Marley, Amy Winehouse, Karen Carpenter, Nina Simone, Rob Fisher (Climie Fisher), to name but a few.....
It wouldn't surprise me if there are now entire charts where everyone in them are now dead. Especially the early 50s ones which were only top 12 /15 /20.
Apparently JACKIE TRENT, who had a #1 in 1965 with Where Are You Now (My Love) is dead
R.I.P.I had always assumed it was the same song.Peter Sarstedt can now be added to this list. Apparently he had a chart topper called Where Do You Go My Lovely, but listening to it I have no recollection of ever hearing it. It's certainly not comparable with No Mercy's classic of the same name.
This is it:

Doris Day and Vera Lynn are clinging on.
What an odd chart. Is the sharing of chart positions accurate?
Did people really not know 'Where Do You Go To My Lovely'?
Did he?
Quite! It's very famousDid people really not know 'Where Do You Go To My Lovely'?![]()
Oh yes. Niche.Apologies for the belated response - he had a featuring credit along with Sir Tom Jones on the Comic Relief version of "Islands In The Stream".
He must have done - why else would Breathe have posted it?Did Bobby Vee ever have a UK #1?
Bobby Gee obviously, but Vee?
We had a death thread for Ricardo. In fact, I think That One posted it as he was following the N-Trance page at the time. Ricardo was indeed the rapper on 3am Eternal. In fact, he had a #2 with the KLF too as he was the rapper on Justified and Ancient.I've just discovered Ricardo Da Force died FOUR YEARS AGO. Did he have a number 1 with KLF? I know it was only a number 2 with N-Trance.
I feel like this is one for @Eileen
As is the case for many in this topic. No individual credit of course.
