I would like a list of the DEAD PEOPLE to have hit #1 single in the UK

MARVIN RAINWATER and CORNELIUS HARP of the MARCELS also died since January 2013.

I don't have any info for 3 of them but the two I do have info for are both dead:

Apparently JACKIE TRENT, who had a #1 in 1965 with Where Are You Now (My Love) is dead
 
There are a lot of #2 dead stars when you think about it: Kirsty MacColl, Natalie Cole, Luther Vandross, The London Boys, Percy Sledge, Sam Cooke, Scatman John, Bob Marley, Amy Winehouse, Karen Carpenter, Nina Simone, Rob Fisher (Climie Fisher), to name but a few.....

No-one asked. Also Scatman John didn't get to #2. If you're going to profess chart facts at least get them right.
 
It wouldn't surprise me if there are now entire charts where everyone in them are now dead. Especially the early 50s ones which were only top 12 /15 /20.

Peter Sarstedt can now be added to this list. Apparently he had a chart topper called Where Do You Go My Lovely, but listening to it I have no recollection of ever hearing it. It's certainly not comparable with No Mercy's classic of the same name.

My first impression was that it was a rip off of Gordon Lightfoot's If You Could Read My Mind, but less of one than The Greatest Love Of All. And then I listened to Marcella Detroit's version.

I've just discovered Ricardo Da Force died FOUR YEARS AGO. Did he have a number 1 with KLF? I know it was only a number 2 with N-Trance.

I feel like this is one for @Eileen

We had a death thread for Ricardo. In fact, I think That One posted it as he was following the N-Trance page at the time. Ricardo was indeed the rapper on 3am Eternal. In fact, he had a #2 with the KLF too as he was the rapper on Justified and Ancient.
 
Who were The Children of The Revolution? They did get a credit on 3AM Eternal, didn't they?

The Children Of The Revolution was just a reference to Marc Bolan/T-Rex. As our Shirl says, more like The Plastic Population than, say, Marina's Diamonds.
