No. They were de riguer at one point which was a hangover from Dotmusic when people would announce their departures on a daily basis in high dudgeon because someone suggested Victoria Beckham was looking a bit skinny and HOW DARE YOU.

I don't know but my feeling is that Ag wanted to make the gesture to himself that this is not a 48-hours-to-cool-off but a genuine attempt to separate himself from something that has become unhealthy for him.

I just want him to be alright, that's all.

I'm sure he will be ok. Too much reliance on an internet forum for shits and giggles is never healthy, particularly once you get a bit older. Good on him for taking a break.

It also gives the people who felt scorned by him a bit of a breather. Life is too short to hold grudges.

I'm not denying that but I dont think it helps to be consumed by it as he clearly suggests he was at times.
