Industry (BBC Two)

A weird for me as my favourite version of Industry is seeing the art of the deal while I don’t understand what’s going on but Ep 2 was just so COMPELLING my eyes were glued!!

Now let’s get back to business

I've only just started this now. The first episode was very good. It feels a bit Skins-in-suits at times but it's good.

I absolutely loved that episode. Some tunes being played at Henry's party earlier on too.

That must have been a long lasting mint that dirty Aunt Cordelia was sucking on... and spat out.

Yasmin's face at Henry's suggestion at the end :D

I can see that for the first series especially but it increasingly moves away from that and gets a lot bigger as it goes on.

I wasn't hugely gripped by the first half of this week's episode but it definitely warmed right up.

"Good. Now spit on it."

That oyster slurping/burping cut :D

Signed: Hitler

God I love this hot mess.

This felt much more back to business (literally) and I enjoyed the little detour to Sun-der-land.

I feel like Yas is the greatest cunt of them all though. Is she a Cuck or just fucked up? Her lighting a tab up in hitlers shrine (?) while he fucked the assistant was epic.

I bloody can't wait for the Harper vs Yas acting masterclass showdown

Really? I loved it with that music!! The whole episode was relentless right from the off!

Has Yasmin met a more fucked up version of herself? Oops. She looked a bit terrified.

Sky managed to make A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms available early, I wonder why the BBC couldn't do the same for Industry.

Saying that, I only got round to watching last week's episode today :D

I guess Industry is a BBC/HBO co-production so to them they’re not really bothered about the Super Bowl and Industry goes out on a Monday regardless like any other U.K. drama wouldn’t be shown early for the Super Bowl

Enjoyed the Erin Brockovich parts of that episode and the final reveal from Sweetpea was kinda exhilarating and well delivered but some other moments really destroyed the pace of it all but I imagine that was the actual point

Wowsers! What an ep!!

It’s all kicking off as they say!

The bit between Harper and Eric was so sad

New York’s hottest club is INDUSTRY, and this place has EVERYTHING. Nazis, Russian Intelligence assets, bogus African shell corporations, dead journalists, Jon Snow at a GLORY HOLE, and who’s that at the bar, is that SWEETPEA GOLIGHTLY? NO! It’s SALLY DRAPER committing corporate espionage as an UNDERCOVER PROSTITUTE!

Oh GOLIGHTLY is her real name :D

I thought that was her undercover business investigator spy name.

We really need the next season to be an ALL STARS where they bring back all the old characters (the ever growing list of ones who’ve met a GRISLY END excluded)

Dear Henry...

Incredible when this episode featured Muck at the glory hole but Ken Leung's performance this episode stole it all.

His reactions to the getting the video, telling Harper what he’s not done and essentially leaving the daughter he actually loves (Harper) was fucking superb.

The show is a fucking a masterclass. Netflix would have dragged the entire arc of Season 4 out over 4 separate seasons but they just serve fast and constant.

That episode was a lot. The MP's marriage of convenience line clearly touched a nerve with Yas. Has she really washed her hands of Henry Mug?

And evil Spider confirmed.

Surprised becasue Season 3 really felt like closure on everything but happy for even more of this!

It is good that they appear to be ending the show on their own terms. I can only imagine the shitstorm they will unleash on their characters (those still standing) in the finale.

I’m surprised Harper hasn’t been fed to the Russians considering she’s the one hellbent on bringing down the whole company.

The poor journalist got smoked out and murdered.

God Yasmin nooooooo! I just wanted some kind of redemption arc for her since Series 1 where she does something amazing and you can root for her but she’s literally THE WORST!

The nazi dinner party!
The pimping out underage girls!

Unreal.

Loved the end “are you done?” while those classic Industry synths play over. I guess that’s why they announced the final series last week.
