Influencers

Half naked photos are (kind of) fine. Just not when they're captioned with a paragraph about World AIDS Day or mental health. Or the ones who strip off and flex when they hold their pet as if they actually want anyone to be looking the dog in the picture.

If you want to show off your body for instagram likes then at least be upfront about it.

Do you like my new tattoo/ underwear/ gym gains? Just say HERE'S MY DICK.

Gays posting topless selfies for validation has completely ruined Twitter for me. No matter how many you unfollow, they just keep springing up like a narcissistic, body dysmorphic hydra.

I didn't realise how bad this was until Twitter started showing me posts that my friends had liked. The same tropes on every post - a thirst pic added to a post where it isn't necessary, and a comment chain of adoration from guys who mostly seem quite lonely and who will never actually DM slide to try and hook up with said person.

The thing that bothers me the most though, is how fuckability is currency in these online spaces. My observations as far as Gay Twitter goes is that you're not the sort of person guys will want to shag for your looks then you better be really fucking interesting or hilarious. Stereotypically good looking men will rack up the likes for truly DISMAL patter. Women are generally a non-consideration by default.

It's where forums really differ in a good way, I think. Although there picture threads, moopmeets and occasional shagging has been a feature on here over the years, people tend to rise or become popular on forums because people think they have something funny or interesting to say. There is an added layer of anonymity which dictates that you only have to share your real name or photo if and when you actually want to - the content you post is only subconsciously judged on those grounds when you allow it to be, and even then, profile pics tend not to be of people's actual faces as on social media.

Omg @Tetris-Rock are you saying we are all on Moopy because we are interesting but not quite beautiful enough :(

You problably heard about this already because it's all over internet. So this bitch has a youtube channel that is mainly based on her dog, and she uploaded by mistake the wrong unedited video where she abuses her dog, even spit on him. WTF!?! I haven't seen anything like this before, she looks such a psycho. I'm totally disturbed.

She deleted her IG account, but still getting nice messages on twitter.

It's really hard to watch that video, particularly the vitriol in her eyes as the dog is walking towards her.

Influencers really have to be some of the worst aspects of social media and the digital age etc. but despite being on most social media platforms I can’t say I have (ever?) been knowingly exposed to any influencer. So I guess it means they’re really easy to avoid and therefore irrelevant and like trash tv they’re only for stupid people/fun.

I did briefly think I might need to ELABORATE but surely it's OBVIOUS

My new source of joy is reading about “influencers” who get their instagrams deleted and then cry about losing their livelihoods and the thought of getting a real job.

I have a lot to say about this but I'm tired. Its creeping into my life both professionally and personally. Ron Jr declared he wanted to be a Youtuber when he grew up the other day and I laid into the little shit. ITS NOT A FUCKING JOB

OR IS IT?

I might convert my pied-à-terre into a sophisticated studio and review PERRY in the hopes of millions of views, many thousands of pounds and of course NON-STOP FREE PERRY :disco:

Not in my house it isn't. He's very close to getting a sensible hair cut and a good 9-5.

I think it’s ok to think that now, how old is he?

When I was 10 everyone wanted to be video game designers and that never materialised

:D Well it’d certainly be more fun than what I currently do for a living

Expect a selection of startling COSTUMES :disco:

Actually I could incorporate an exciting YOU SHARE, I WEAR section where I dress up according to people’s lurid demands

Oh the fortune that awaits! I’m thinking at least £2.86 :disco:

My cousin who is an ATTRACTIVE YOUNG LADY does that with various COSPLAY antics. My uncle and aunt seem to quite encourage it although personally I find the whole thing RATHER SORDID.

:D Oh this sort of thing has been going on for years though. Just look at Sam Fox’s dad encouraging her to get her tits out at Christmas. Come on Sam! Frillies off! Grandad’s here! :horny:
