Morning Moopy.

I have once again been awake since 4.30am, it's getting earlier each day 😭

This morning I woke because I was worried heathcliff hadn't had a poo 🤦🏻‍♀️

I wonder what it's like to sleep past 7am.

Anyway, I'm off to Colchester today for sight seeing, oddly considering I holiday in the UK all the time, I've never been to that part of the country.

How are we all?

You’re just clearly too excited about the WEDDING OF THE YEAR :disco:

I’ve never been that way either and I’ve done loads of UK travel. It’s all a bit of A MYSTERY.

Why are you awake so early? Early morning swim?

I’m always awake by 5:30. It’s my natural wake up time.

The weather is rotten, though, so not sure I can be bothered with a swim. I need to go deliver a computer to my Business Development Manager in Southampton at 7:30 so will probably just get up and out and do that.

But normally, this would be gym and swim, yes. Albeit the last month or so I’ve been a bit off the gym for some reason…

I think waking earlier is definitely easier as I've got older. Although 4.30am is ridiculous. I tend to just lounge around in bed tho. I need to get up and so stuff.

I'm still not convinced by sea swimming. Plus the weather is awful, where is our summer :(

If you do get up, it’s great. You’re basically reclaiming the day. And it makes the odd occasion you do actually lay in bed a treat.

I never lounge longer than half an hour. Up and out!

Sea swimming saves my mental health. I still advocate it to anyone. I don’t understand people who live by the sea and won’t even do it in summer.

Right the next day I'm wide awake in going to get up early and if it's a nice day, go for a walk.

We kayak in the sea a lot, which I find very relaxing. Although there's always things on social media about the amount of sewage that's pumped into our sea. So I get a little put off, but I've not yet seen anything too disgusting.

I'm more of a paddler and kayaker. But I definitely need to swim more.

Actually Sheena, have you been to Revive in Southsea? They have a floatation tank I really want to try!

I don’t even know what that is.

(All of gay Moopy thinking about Rachey adopting a Romanian baby right now)

:D

It's one of these. Which probably doesn't help.

The sewage thing is definitely an issue but look at the surfers against sewage site and others that I forget for when it’s clear and safe to swim. A good rule is always that if it’s not rained for a couple of days, it’s absolutely fine. Though to be honest, I’ve pretty much always gone in when I like and never had an issue.

I'll check out the surfers website. I'm not overly fussed about it because the sea looks clean and I figure if I can't see it then it doesn't exist.

I've also gotten up around 6.00am during my entire vacation leave this month.

It's just nice to get things done by noon.

Having said that, my body is ACHING from several hours of gym and tennis this week. This used to be nothing when I was 20.

Before children I would sleep so much, I was never awake before 10am. Now I'm naturally awake around 6am. I do wonder if I'll ever go back to the old ways!

I've been camping this week and now work today. I am totally shattered! Still, only one day at work I suppose...

And you get to see me tomorrow, so THAT’s going to revive you!

Well, that or the Roly’s Fudge :disco:

I wonder if it's also an age thing, because I don't have kids and I wake early every day. It's incredibly annoying.

It also means I go to bed much earlier at night, I'm asleep by 10.30pm.

I don’t get late risers. But then I hate sleep. What a complete waste of my life.

I get that it’s necessary but I really fucking resent it.

I’ve always been an early riser but it’s gotten earlier as I’ve gotten older for sure. But I go to bed usually around 9:30 and am in bed by 10.

Morning. Another day in the office, half-empty because all the people with ankle-biters get all the holidays they want and the rest of us get dust.

Fair warning, I tend to not eat sweet stuff when I'm drinking.
That's fine, yours is in a proper handwrapped gift box so I wouldn't expect you to open it.

The others just get it in a cellophane bag.

I'm eating a homemade egg sandwich on the ferry. I am not popular with my table neighbours.

If you do Mersea Island, check tide times x

We just googled photos of it at high tide, definitely do not want to get stranded :o it looks pretty tho, I think we might do it on our way up, assuming the weather improves.

It's interesting hearing you and Shee say similar about that - and neither have I. I think perhaps there's a tendency if you live west of London to think the country ends there, and not go any further east. And probably because purely in terms of time if you're travelling (even more so if you're using public transport), getting across London itself takes so bloody long that travelling to somewhere like Kent, Essex or East Anglia feels like a Herculean labour.
