Interior Design Masters

An notably older cast this series. Last year was almost all young designers.

Their whole flat was awful. Hated the wallpaper, the bare walls everywhere else. The awful day bed room.

They didn’t really need to bring the other (I think dishy) man onto the sofa.

That Scottish girls floral room was fucking gorgeous though

I was astonished that the royals gay wasn't actually a gay, and amused that Alan clearly assumed he was at the start of the episode :D

Obsessed with papier maché woman as well. I fear she's not going to be around long but I'm looking forward to seeing what else she can cover in bits of old newspaper and glue.

It's all a bit Flintstones/Bedrock City for me.

Oh I am pleased this is back will need to catch up.

I love what an easy payday this is for Alan. One night stay in the best branded Hilton they can find near a tourist town, prat falls into a few half completed container units or independent shop, slags off a designers life work and then a sharp exit back to Brighton (or is it Bristol?).

:disco:

Never watched this before, but put the first episode of the new series on iPlayer on Friday night just as something to watch before going to bed. Loved it.

Since then I've watched the whole of the last series which I also loved, although not very happy at the winner, who should have left at least once in the preceding weeks, IMO.

Looks like all the series other than the first are on iPlayer, so think I'll probably work through them all.

I thought all those rooms were pretty awful tonight with Sophie’s being the only good one but probably not even a winner in any other series.

Frankie vs. Emily in the battle for dreadful fringes. Alas we have to put up with Emily’s paper mache rubbish for another week.
I think I'd have got rid of Emmely just because her room was so fucking boring to look at. I wouldn't have wanted to stay in Frankie's room either, but I'd rather be given something chaotic that didn't work than nothing interesting to look at at all.

I don’t know if it’s the terrible brief but those mess decks were largely terrible.

Blocking off the fridges was too much for me. Soaked up little space there was.

Yes, I didn't understand that - yet didn't they comment on the space it created? And that's without considering the space you'd need for the doors to open. Or that it didn't actually look very nice at all.

Going back to last week, as much as I wasn't upset to see the back of Victoriana non-gay and to a lesser extent Kate, they were utterly shafted with their brief, compared to everyone else.

Also what is with these people and PAPER MACHE? That light shade was HIDEOUS.

And opening a door to get to a door!?

Who’s got the time!!

I’m glad the Queen of Paper Mache is sticking around though so she can tell us all her tacky design ideas are actually “timeless”

She’s fucked it not putting a divider in.

Paper Mache was the only room I liked.

Ajeets was way too much for me. Patterns, textures and colours all going mental at you.
