Interior Design Masters

Her stained plywood splash back was the only fault for me. Mainly coz it’s impractical for a wet area and the finish was a bit shit.
Wood can be fine for a splashback if it's sealed and maintained, so can be practical - but who is doing that in a rental, when you have a perfectly good material underneath it that is specifically designed to be wiped clean? And yes, it looked unfinished.

But considering how much better hers was than everyone else, perhaps they didn't want to include any criticism.

I'm personally fed up of Duran's squiggles and would probably booted her over Ajeet, but there was little in it.

I did feel a little sorry for the guitar shop duo as I think they were constrained a lot more by the owner's requests. I did agree with the judges that their shop felt a little underwhelming once you got past the window.

I do think it's the right final three.

Shame about Emmely but they were both pretty crap rooms. Had she taken the colour down a bit in both I think she might have faired better.

Yes, a poor week - the worst of the series for me. The best ones felt average and the worst ones looked like trash.

The highlight was hearing the word CREDENZA repeatedly. I don't think I've heard it once since Kath and Kim.

I quite liked Emmely after her poor start. But I won't miss hearing her voice.

Rough to be worse than the barracks week but yes… she was unlucky after turning it around for a couple weeks and doing rather well

The right winner there I thought. I did think I liked Sophie’s more initially but seeing them side by side Lea’s just looked really really nice.

Yes, exactly the same. Pretty much all the way through I thought I was going to prefer Sophie's, until the end walkthroughs.

I did think Leah played a masterstroke with changing the two rooms and then creating that little seating area, but what became the living room was her weakest room. The rest of the house was fantastic though.

Part of me did wish we had Emmely in the final, just because I think there would have been more of a contrasting approach between the two designers. And also because I'd have quite liked an eight feet papier-mâché giraffe in the hallway.

Did anyone notice the dust in the hallway in Sophie’s house when Michelle and LLB entered the hallway? It was so dusty it was almost absurd :D

I’ve forgotten what Lia’s signature style was tbh but it feels like these would have been released anyway.

The tomato and chilli pots are kinda cool

If Emmely had won, Next would have been faced with a collection of paper mache and therefore a statement of “creative differences” followed by a statement on Instagram from Emmely “my truth”

If I had room for this I’d get it
