I think record company politics surrounding her two major hits being on movie soundtracks stifled her momentum, but she has a few other (entirely forgotten) chart entries, which all kind of sound like mid-tier Donna Summer. (They had very similar voices!)

Not a hit in UK, but it went top 20 in US and pretty well known, I've seen this done in lots of talent shows.
