Is it wrong to like Take That?

Gary must be the most handsome boring man alive

I’m pretty confident Kylie could also rock up to Capital FM anytime she wanted to, regardless of whether she was currently in the charts.

At that point in your career you’re basically the safest possible booking to please a crowd like that.

Of what?

Surely given their back catalogue they’re the kind of group who’d basically be welcome at an event like that for life?
Really? I get the impression that the Capital Summertime ball is very much about what is "in" these days though I could be wrong.

Last year they had Busted vs Mcfly and Jessie J on the bill.

We’re not talking Radio One here. It’s always a mix.

They are just a very safe bet for anything like this, aren't they? Even if a resolutely unexciting one.

This was the lineup, plus Mis-Teeq. Broadly current/popular with a few exceptions.

None of the traditional media outlets are managing to build much of a relationship with thee kidz these days - it's more about trying to retain the audience you already have, and everyone - EVERYONE - frankly just loves a band/ or artist with any recognisable hits that they maybe had a bop to once.

I am not really sure if this is a clip art version of something but do Take That not still sell out stadiums? Why are they so low down in the pecking order of that poster?

I’m guessing possibly due to them catering to a younger audience? Potentially those in their teens and twenties would be more drawn to Niall or Myles or whoever over TT or Derulo. Enough of a mix though to appeal to those in their thirties and forties.
