I mean there’s a strong push to demonize anything pro Palestine. Even on a local level, here the pro Palestine demonstrations have been labeled pro Hamas and condemned by most politicians including our supposed progressive mayor. The news is full of people being fired/suspended/investigated for posting anti Israel statements (as in anti genocide).

The narrative is Palestine=Hamas so you can kill them all and Israel=Jewish People so any criticism of it is labeled anti Semitic.

I notice also it's an ongoing story that people are very outraged the FA and Premier League football clubs haven't organised something like illuminating a stadium with the Israeli flag out of solidarity. Jewish groups within football, politicians and "an independent adviser on antisemitism" are all outraged at the lack of response from the FA.

the argument is that displaying the flag would be to show solidarity with the victims in Israel, rather than endorsing the regime. but if showing a flag is a mark of respect for the victims... wouldn't it also be necessary to display the Palestinian flag? if this is not about the regime but just the victims? and yet those very same people have said that the FA chief MUST RESIGN (!) if protesters turn up at the game this weekend and wave a Palestinian flag. so...

A sports organisation or federation making any statement (and it would be a hamfisted one at that) clearly should be the least of anyone's worries right now. Absurd.
 
This is beyond evil. I can't fathom how any Jewish person (or any person period) can watch this happen and not feel that it is wrong. And using the holocaust to justify another genocide is sickening. I keep seeing people I normally agree with and respect, who care about human rights in the US, cheer on an attack on people who cannot defend themselves, and it is disheartening.

I feel like I'm in some sort of TWILIGHT ZONE. Does Israel have the entire Western World governments under some kind of HYPNOSIS?
 




Always nice when this old dolt gets rolled out on stage to give his hackneyed opinion when Israel's response is indeed taking right from the 9/11/War on Terror playbook.

I think you have to understand the Western partnership with Israel and ask yourself what ‘values’ they might share exactly.

Israel: an innovator of surveillance strategy and police brutality, has in the form of the Palestinians, a captive population on which to unleash those capabilities, pioneering for the rest of the world the latest techniques in subjugating a people.

Or we could just call those values colonisation and white supremacy.
 
I know it doesn't even compare, but I'm absolutely expecting terror attacks against Jewish targets in other countries in the not so distant future.
 
I wish I could say "I can't believe they bombed the convoys leaving Gaza" but of course they did, it's exactly how the Israeli government conducts itself. This is ethnic cleansing. Why are out governments just letting this happen?
 
The tide will turn against them. It has to. This could be their reckoning. They’re playing by right into Hamas’s hands, the fucking idiots.
