It’s December, Tuesday is in Beijing, opening up new pork markets

I've already eaten my first Lindt advent chocolate.

Still have the cheese advent to open for lunch.
 
We're not getting advent calendars in the office this year. The multiple handling makes it a Covid risk. Well, fuck.
 
Did any of you lot have an Xmas eve box when you were growing up? Or is that just a recent new trend?

It's new. It's been a thing in parts of Europe for ages - as usual the Internet is to blame; people heard about it and capitalism abhors a vacuum.
 
I grew up in Germany but never had one. It’s inspired by the tradition of opening presents on Christmas Eve but then my family never did that either.

Odd as we adopted most other Christmas traditions over there.

Oh, it's the usual thing - it's £1 calendar with the chocolate that's been mixed with cardboard to keep it ultra-cheap but the windows are opened by a different team member every day, decided by some method usually devised by whoever is in charge. Silly, really.

Things like this are a constant reminder of why I found myself unemployable.

My walk didn't do it for me today. My street food Greek wrap was a high, popping into The Range was at best disappointing.
 
A recent highlight was a small yapping dog going for some teenagers on skateboards. That's the kind of dog I approve of.
 
Also noted this afternoon, was the idiocy of people. I sat eating my Greek wrap near the entrance of Primark, which people repeatedly approached to enter. WHAT DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?
