Checking my patients app, I can now see I've been referred to the urology department for suspected cancer based on very little. Just had a phone call from the hospital asking when I first saw blood in my urine. I literally never said that to my GP.

I'm confused, and I suspect I'll be wasting their time. I hope so.

Have you had a pee test at the GP recently? That will show up blood even if it isn't visible to the naked eye.

I went to the GP on Tuesday, handed in a test yesterday.

I think there was something lost in confusion, he was German, which I'd normally trust implicitly, but there were a lot of elements that brought me there and I think he misinterpreted a lot.

Obviously I'm always aware of issues in my bladder, since my scare, 2 years ago.

Oh no of course not, I just feel like this could have been resolved with an analysis of my piss there and then. Last time, the GP checked it and referred me to the hospital.

Two alarms went off, Mr Ag caused an argument about it being nothing first time. I recognised that is was serious but he was dying on the hill that it wasn't. I couldn't believe it.

I am very good in serious situations and rarely panic but I would say my default mode is to instantly assume an alarm like that is false while I process.
