Amazon are still desperate to have their 'hit' show, no matter how many beloved franchises they have ruin on the way. They're slowly becoming the Electronic Arts of film.

yes great director on his day but I wouldn't hold out for anything fun here. Spectre is a 007 film that could've been Villeneuve.
 
Woodyatt’s not right. Sure he’d be great now, but you’ve gotta see this as a 15 year commitment. He’d be too old by the third film
 
I would once have agreed with you.

But really we need to reflect modern times, and in 15 years time the UK retirement age will likely be 89, so an elderly Bond would be RIGHT and JUST.

And maybe by the time Woodyatt has shuffled off, Chalamet will finally be old enough to legally order a vodka martini shaken.
 
Riz Ahmed's got this Amazon comedy where he plays an actor auditioning for James Bond (??), and his Fallon interview to promote is such a fucking ick.



I know there's always a fair bit of planning with these things, but he's got a whole piss-weak stand up routine ready to go
 
i would be interested to know if he has the RANGE... my gut says no but I don't know if I've seen him in anything except Fantastic Beasts.

someone's who's about 35 like he is would be perfect though. given that they make a film about once every SEVEN YEARS.

Well if he retained the Heathfliff kink schtick I'd not be opposed to giving him a chance. I'd prefer my Bond late 40s personally though :horny:
 
Knew the name but didn’t know who he was until I saw Callum Turner in Rose of Nevada the other day. He was very good and very hot in motion. I get it now Dua Lipa!
 
If the stay British and go with currently the biggest, prettiest British actor in Hollllllywood then surely it should be Jonathan Bailey. I-can't-think-of-any-reason-that-they-wouldn't - can you?

He's far too pretty I think. Not at all Bond-like to me.
 
Bailey is too pretty and too short.

Wasn't Regé-Jean Page in the mix supposedly at some point? YES PLEASE.
 
Aaron Taylor-Johnson just seems perfect to me. Handsome but with a toughness that's definitely required.
 
Callum is the only who looks like a bond but not nearly charming enough, hard to see anyone but Jacob getting it. Jack Lowden would be a good unexpected choice but not nearly the box office draw Elordi is.
 
Daniel Craig was hardly a box office draw though prior to being cast, was he?

I'd personally go for the right actor and let the franchise sell it, than be swayed by star power.
 
Callum Turner I just don’t see it at all. I think you take this long over relaunching a franchise having spent that much on it you want the lead to be guaranteed top draw I don’t think that is where he is headed. More a few projects, some TV work and then the new landlord of the Queen Vic.
 
I haven't seen much with Turner recently, but as I remember he was fine.

Lowden would work, though ideally I'd like Slow Horses to go on as long as possible.

I think O'Connell is probably the most interesting option.
 
The only problem I'd have with Jack Lowden is would too many viewers still see him as bumbling fool River from Slow Horses rather than suave JB. He's got the looks & charm though putting that aside.
 
I’d choose O’Connell. I’d take Lowden as well but I think he’d feel too similar to Daniel Craig and if it’s a reboot they might want a different look.
