Janet - Control (sync now)

to be honest Damita Jo was probably the most game changing sync we've done on a personal level - I've completely fallen in love with that album and have been hammering it religiously ever since.

I don't think I'll have the same revelation with All For You but I def want to do it asap so let's do it tomorrow! for real this time!

Perhaps I'll start a thread for the first two albums since so many of us haven't heard before. I figure we can all investigate in our own time and review!

I also hate it when we waste two albums together. Means if you can’t make it, you lose two. It’s a shame. But I get why we do. As you were.

I understand. it's just that nothing else is happening for the non-Masked Singer/Eurovision hunties, and I could really use some half decent entertainment after the week I've had.

I watched the 1999 "Girlfriend/Boyfriend" video as an appetizer. WOW does it look awful now :D

I'm quite stoned and quite stressed so this album could be the perfect tonic to calm me down a bit

I love that she pulls the old "jimmy are you recording?!" flirty talk with Jimmy in the intro. this is workplace harassment! :eyes:
 
She sounds so much like Michael on this especially the spoken word bits which remind me of 'Dangerous'.
 
god I LOVE You Ain't Right. it's been a while since I had a moment to this song but it's a really GRIMY BANGER. :disco: quite VIBEY chorus. call me crazy but these days I almost hear a No Doubt-esque quality to this song. although I can't explain it sorry. it's almost got a Neptunes vibe to the production. IT'S HOT.
 
You Ain't Right doesn't have much melody but I like the GROOVE
