on any other album I don't know if All Nite would JUMP OUT as a surefire single pick, but here it's screaming out. such a funky riff. I'm surprised it made top 20 in the UK, I don't remember that at all.

For the flop it was, MTV played "All Nite" to death back in 2004. It really could have been a hit had Clear Channel not had it out for her after the Superbowl and ruined its chances at radio (the only path to a Hot 100 hit in '04)

the sequencing of this album is ridiculous. she trolled us hard. starts off makin you think she's COMPLETELY LOST IT, and then every track for seven songs in a row is better than the last until you're in the realm of TENS. R&B Junkie fucking SLAPS! should've been the second single teebs.

"I Want You" is really lovely. One of her best singles this side of the millennium (perhaps after "Rock with U" and "Someone to Call My Lover"), and she looks incredible in the video.

"Thinkin' Bout My Ex" - was she already dating JD at this point ? :D
 
There's a nice classic Janet feel about "Thinking Bout My Ex". Kind of sounds like it would fit on Rhythm Nation, but its melody is a bit LACKING.
