Jennifer Lopez Oscar talk 2026

There’s been Oscar buzz for her role in Kiss of the Spider Woman long before they even started filming but I watched it and I was a bit underwhelmed. Sure, it’s her strongest role since Monster-in-Law and the Academy loves a growth story but I think this movie is not strong enough for that. She’ll get there in 5-10 years.

She really doesn't do a lot in that film anyway. Given she got the project, you'd think she'd have made sure scenes like the spiderweb were as dazzling as possible.
