Jessie Ware: I Could Get Used To This & Superbloom (2 Viewers)

Sunday Brunch yesterday as well as The One Show - fighting for that number one albam with old skook hardcore promo. Just why she wasn't on Claudia Winkleman episode six I just don't know. The mind boggles.

Skindred(!) are 1.8k ahead of her in the midweeks and Jessie is 1k ahead of ZAYN.

She has a slightly larger gap than Jack Savoretti had over Olivia Dean last week and he was overtaken. I think she may end up at 3 again.

to be fair it would be an injustice if this album charted higher than That! Feels Good!

I gave this a proper spin earlier on a walk, and whilst I wasn't excited for it for some reason, its solid.

My initial faves are Don’t You Know Who I Am? and Mr Valentine

Second listen and I'm loving this. A thousand times better after a full play.

The standout for me is "No Consequences". Wow. I came in to say that she's been listening to Jungle, but of course it is actually produced by Tom and Jack. It's also giving me Sault/Cleo Sol vibes. And that gospel crescendo into the psychedelic soprano at the end, my GOD :disco:

I love the 70s Donna Summer vibes of "Love You For" and "Mon Amour." My other favourite at the moment is the title track. So lush.

I'm also liking that I can distinguish it now from the last album. Yes there are a lot of similarities and overlaps but this album is much more psychedelic, more R&B.

her store? it should be on itunes etc
Yep, her store. I haven't used iTunes in years! Usually artists will plop another digital version of their album on their store for a fiver to get extra sales for the chart week. I can't find it on her online store and it's not on Apple Music either. I'll check out iTunes on my phone and see!

So was at a family party tonight and all my aunties knew who Jessie Ware was and my cousins are all trying to get tickets to the tour

CROSSOVER QUEEN

signed copies available again at Banquet - £27 for the vinyl

she's there til 5pm. full day shift!

Did we ever get a deluxe for T!FG! ? I can't remember.

She absolutely spoiled us in the WYP era. Find me a better deluxe than that album. On its own it's possibly the finest pop EP ever made.

Full Superbloom edition should be on streaming any moment now

1. Middle of the Night
2. Ride (Extended)
3. Sauna (Extended)
4. Don't You Know Who I Am? (Majestic Remix)
5. The Way We Were

I was just thinking last night that I’ve rinsed the album SO much that I wish there were a couple of bonus songs to come! Thrilled with this news!

No sign on Spotify yet. Could it be that it is a store exclusive download? Would make sense to rack up the extra sales.

Apparently download only for 24 hours - hopefully on streaming after that?

DOWN to #2 today...

01 Skindred - You Got This (13,709) [13,061 physicals, 438 downloads, 210 streaming]
02 Jessie Ware - Superbloom (12,452)
03 ZAYN - KONNAKOL (9,376)

let's see what today's mechanisms (and tomorrow's signing in Manchester) do for her come Friday...

Looking at Skindred's website (I know...) they are also very much playing the game. CDs for a fiver, LP a tenner, digital download with bonus tracks, competition for a holiday to Mallorca :D

Middle of the Night does sound good. Let me throw her a download and luxuriate in those strings.

I very much do need her cover of 'The Way We Were' in my life. Am I about to buy actual music for the first time in half a decade?

Superbloom the song is a 14/10

More like SUPERB LOOM IF YOU CATCH MY DRIFT

I think I've read that has been the case for some other store exclusive digital deluxes in the past too.
Really? I’ve bought loads of midweek deluxe digital editions for many artists in the past without any issue. Like it makes absolutely no sense to restrict it to the UK. Sales outside the UK won’t affect her UK position either way, but doesn’t she want our money? Very, very strange decision.
