Falls another 70% in its third week in the US to 2.8m for a total of 56.4m.

Is THIS the disease Gaga is singing about?

I think it's over for Todd Phillips.

And by over I mean back to cheesy and irreverent comedies.

I find it fascinating. There are bombs and then there is THIS. To think before the initial previews it was expected for a 100m opening weekend. It’s not going to make 60m over its entire domestic run.

I finally saw this with a friend this afternoon and went in with an open mind, but god it’s terrible!

How did they spend $200 million on this? :D

600k in its fourth weekend at its domestic box office. Will probably have the worst legs of any film to open with more than 30m.

Just watched this and would agree it was fine, not amazing or terrible.

Is it THAT bad or are they just bandwagon jumping?

I have to say I saw this on the download to own list yesterday and I really have no desire to ever see it, even just to form my own opinion

It’s a GOOD IDEA, very poorly executed! You can kind of sense some exhaustion in the performances at having to carry this SLOG of a film, but there have been much WORSE performances this year! And yes I’m referring to Drew Starkey in Queer.

Gaga does lowkey kind of suck in this but it’s like that drag queen in the acting challenge who’s going home regardless of what she does because the script is so horrible not even Merly Streep could save it.

I’m sure Gaga has been called WORSE

Phoenix on the other hand is likely to spiral into a dark hole and maybe spend the next 12 months doing experimental theatre in Peru or something.

See this is ridiculous because there was nothing wrong with the performances! They had NOTHING TO WORK WITH! They actually did quite an ADMIRABLE job given the ABYSMAL MATERIAL!
Exactly this... the performances were fine. It was just a total bore. I got about 75 mins in, switched off and googled the ending. Very rare I don't sit through a whole film.

I'm not a fan of the Razzies at all, they seem to go for really obvious, low-hanging fruit and not genuine garbage.

If it were up to me, the worst of 2024:

Anyone But You
Megalopolis
The First Omen
Longlegs
Red One
Something In The Water
The Front Room
Mufasa: The Lion King
Borderlands
Alien: Romulus

The razzies!

Sometimes they choose films because of the coverage the film got for me being a disappointment, not how bad it is.

I agree, they've been like this for the last 10 years, nominating what wasn't popular despite box office results. I mean, it would have been so funny (but true) if they nominated Selena Gomez who seems to be getting big, unimaginable, underserving nods here and there but oh no, let's nominate Dakota and Gags which starred in movies that were set for failure since filming.
