I never watch them objectively. They're about dinosaurs and they eat people and are loud and monstery

Lost World doesn't get the credit it deserves. Scenes like the cracked glass on the cabin hanging off the cliff, and the missing cruise liner speeding into the dock, are such amazing scenes, classic Spielberg.

I don't care for III all that much, but I actually really like the World ones, particularly the first one.

More scenes like that bizarre inexplicable one in Jurassic World where the British assistant dies so cruelly and tortuously for no apparent reason

That ten minute short film they did last year was really good and suggested a new, darker direction with the storyline of humans learning to live with dinosaurs roaming as wild animals.

I'd like to see more of that.

It's been out since June. Forgot that no-one mentioned it.

Didn't find it as bad as people have been saying, but I enjoyed the last one too for a good brainless blockbuster.

Jurassic Park was one of the biggest films of my childhood, perfect timing. The sequels less so, Jurassic World was a worthy reboot, and I barely remember the second one, I think I only watched it on a plane.

So I didn’t really have much stock in this but I got invited out and it doesn’t happen much recently so I thought WHY NOT?

Hats off, it really tied off the double trilogy (sextology? ) in a way I didn’t know I might have actually wanted. It balanced the two casts well, some great additions.

I guess the movies don’t have that much in the way of in-jokes but they got them out of their system anyway without being too naff.

The whole clone saga was just an excuse to have a kid in it, and while she wasn’t very likeable, it wasn’t all about her so fine.

It very deftly took all the things that worked from the movies, a proven cast, and finally finished without another “wuh-oh a loose thread, wait for the sequel” manoeuvre.

A lovingly crafted sign off without wanking itself off with a 30 minute denouement like most of these sagas do

I’ve heard nothing but negative feedback from social media, but no real explanation why though.

I enjoyed Bryce Dallas Howard literally hiding in a SWAMP and then rising to the surface looking flawless. Same for that black female pilot surviving a horrific plane crash but dusting herself off looking like a supermodel

I thought Goldblum might be overused but it was fine. In fact his dry ‘wtf is wrong with you people’ comments felt well placed and it meant they didn’t do the usual Hollywood ‘comedy’ tropes from these days.

Like someone over sharing and then people saying “wow that’s too much” and someone going “awkward…” and everyone making faces instead of where an actual joke should be

Technically inept (some of the editing is unbelievably poor), those horrible new trilogy characters upstaged by the original dream team and the dullest of stories. I absolutely HATED it

The orig trig have plenty to do! It felt more like a Doctor Who season finale than anything, their paths just crossed for different reasons (albeit by incredible luck)

It was good fun. Basically the same as Fallen Kingdom - stupid people do something stupid then react in implausible ways which don't make sense.

Saw this tonight finally. Such a shoddy way to end the series. It was fine for a popcorn moment, but it didn't feel like a JP movie at all. Even with all the cast back.

No sense of threat, it was jumping all over the place, and the re-introduction of the classic characters was such a non event. And I agree with @Christian on the editing - some of the cuts and sequences were just shocking. Clearly Spielberg just took the cheque for this one and didn't have a say on the final cut. There's no way he'd have accepted some of those transitions.

I never really get how people watch movies and come up with things about the editing or the cinematography etc, I don’t how you can focus on the story and performances like that, just have some fun guyz it’s not a competition

I’m glad I didn’t read anything about it beforehand, I had pretty low expectations after … I want to say it’s called Fallen Kingdom?

Although I did have to at Chris Pratt wanking on about training velociraptors based on deep respect and taking ages, but the baddies just use laser beams and evil, and Chris himself was just doing the Mr Incredible pose and holding his hand up any time they met any dinosaur

Otherwise I absolutely loved it. The Easter eggs/references to old films were filling me with nostalgia.

The monologue at the end about coexistence was good - until they took it WAAAYYYY too literally and had the dinosaurs just buddying up with regular animals that sort of look the same - that's not really how ecosystems work really but idk

I haven't seen this film, but editing in particular is certainly something that's easy to criticise when watching a film - I've definitely watched things and wondered what's going on, if something's hard to follow when it shouldn't be, or felt like things have been cut out.
