And cinematography is basically whether the shots look good, which isn't that strange to notice when watching a film surely :D

Diddy's just happy with a few hours in a nice comfy chair, a roof over his head, and some CGI dinosaurs, and I respect that.

This film I did not respect though - I thought it was absolute shit in a bucket. It's been well over a month since I saw it and I've forgotten what caused most of my rage, but yeah it didn't feel like a Jurassic Park film especially, and I was bored throughout. I loved the previous two (the first especially) so was surprised by this. Maybe it just deviated too much from the winning 'idiot rich person thinks everything will be ok putting dinosaurs in an enclosed space' formula.

Roll on 15 years for enough time to pass for another idiot rich person to try a theme park again :disco:

Diddy at shock at funky being on the Academy - I’m not saying that, I just think it’s surprising that it’s the first thing someone notices on a first watch-through when they’re not in that field.

I didn’t really mean surprising, I meant pretentious THERE I SAID IT I WAS TRYING NOT TO

Cinematography gets mentioned all the time in movie reviews, by critics and on moopy. As for editing you don’t sit and watch a movie for editing, but you do notice when it’s shit.

Also, I WAS in that field for a good 15 years, not that that matters :D

You funny.

I doubt they’ll wait 15 years to reboot it. Question is, what possible direction could they go in?

I’m here for it either way.

This thread is definitely more entertaining than this movie (and I say this because I have 15+ years in the forum industry).

Putting this on now. Ellie's Nopotismwood thread put me in the mood to look up some Laura Dern. I have zero expectations here.

Was this seriously in the cinema 2 years ago? The effects already look so cheap - like one of those Tiffany monster movies.

I watched this randomly on TV the other week too. I just remember laughing at the ridiculousness of being able to appease any dinosaur by just PUTTING YOUR HAND UP AT ARMS LENGTH towards them. I mean, it’s fine if Owen has trained Blue from birth, but every other dinosaur seems to just calm down for anyone if they RAISE THEIR ARM!

If ONLY the characters in the 90s films had known this :D
