Kalavision Song Contest - GRAND FINAL RESULTS FRIDAY 25/09 (10 Viewers)

For me there is a very clear top 3 (4 including my own song)... then I didn’t really care what got the rest of my points. There’s nothing overtly offensive (Gilead, Caramella Girls) which I’m sure will get calls of this final being bland, but there are four big stand outs for me.
 
Still got a wee while left to make my decisions. I’m not going to be swayed by the videos, which I think had a big influence on how I voted in semi 1.
 
Now I’ve actually got an afternoon off work I shall be listening and voting.
 
Started my listen on the train.

Love Light is a really good opener. Bravo production :disco:
 
Vocalist of Monaco really reminds me of Natalie Bassingthwaite vocally

sadly this is no Someday Soon
 
The intro of Turkey is so by numbers, but her deep vox really make the song more interesting
 
Is Latvia the famous song? Not that I know any of these songs.
 
Estonia isn’t as bad this time around either.

There are quite a few of them that were big hits in other countries. But for me it's more if I know it well than anything else.
 
This is a really strong final, I'd happily give points to about 75% of them.

Also, two finals in a row and I only have to beat ONE person to do better than last time. How hard can it be? :eyes:

If the finals not on the Thursday/Friday then I’ll be missing the results and my first win :cry:
 
And one song totally revealed itself to me when I was cycling yesterday and just listening to the songs. The visual was so off putting and I was only reminded about it with the recap video.

I have voted based on the recaps alone. I listened to round 1, I am not putting myself through it.
 
I have been going solely on my Apple Music playlist and I think I’m going to keep it that way judging by the comments about some of the visuals.

Chopping and changing between three songs for my 12 points. All in all a pretty solid final.
