12" RUTH is great, but it's just a BIT too jumbled around structurally for me to ever choose it over the original I think.

Agree. 80s 12" mixes are something I find very hit and miss and I'll never choose this one over the standard version.

I was hoping to find a gif of Kate singing "really happening to ya" in the The Red Shoes peice, but sadly failed and only found a zipper for sale with it on.

So I'm really hoping that if nothing else, all this brings an ample supply of more Kate gifs and memes. Perhaps I'll try and make some myself at some point over the weekend.

It was redone for the 2018 remaster with Bertie Bush replacing awful Rolf Harris and the mixing being tweaked a little. There's not much in the mixing, but Bertie is best left to Before The Dawn.

I actually don't feel I can rate the others beyond that. I mean I KNOW the albums, but I don't feel like I do well enough to compare them. The three above are what I've felt to be my favourites for a good few years, and I've concentrated on those in my listening the last few weeks.
