the idea that it's a composite is definitely plausible and not all that unusual but there are some sticking points still: the lack of wedding ring, and the fact that the legs are significantly too small to be Kate's. I really think they've photoshopped her head onto a stand-in/body double in the picture.

I work in image and video and looking closer at this thing it's a bad photoshop job for sure. Not just the sleeve, but the feathering to the left of kate's head/hair is just awful - classic artifacts of poor compositing. The entire left and right hand sides of the image have been touched up to varying degrees, there is inconsistency on the tile pattern on the floor and identical tree branches in the background that have been cloned.

No art director worth their salt would let this pass.

To be clear, it could be as innocent as removing a bit of dirt on the floor, or something in her hair or a distraction in the background. But it's terrible to let it go out like that.
 
Why are they releasing DOCTORED SNAPS? As if they couldn’t infuriate me anymore they are now trying to pull the wool over the publics eyes (like they have already been doing for many years). Why even bother mentioning it at all? Surely they could just carry on with the Kate is recuperating line?

Also she wasn’t the photographer? Unless she’s set the camera on a tripod and timer (which I highly doubt because it’s a RUSH)

None of it makes sense. She’s lying.
 
So she likes to experiment with photo editing? I reckon she experiments with gene editing and her latest attempt at eternal life has made her look like a blancmange with tits.

It's very easy. I have bendy fingers.

I'm still struggling to see what's wrong with the photo apart from the lack of a ring, and her hair looking a bit blended, but I'd never have picked up on it myself.
 
Do people really think she's dead? Not just mid divorce or breakdown?

Mandy will be heartbroken.
 
of course she's not dead :D she's merely a floating torso without limbs who types her social captions and edits her pictures with her nose
