The British pop musician questions the gender-critical movement in her new song GERM, and argues that cis women need to stand up for the trans community
I need to stop getting sucked in to watching 40-90 minute podcasts on YouTube, BUT this one was good. I've heard most of what she says about the music industry over the years from different people (and Eurovision's WHO THE HELL IS EDGAR?) but it's rare to hear one person speaking so openly about it all.
She's clearly been damaged by it but remains defiant. The touring debt stuff is especially interesting. The OnlyFans stuff is interesting too, and it's good she's speaking openly about it, but still feels icky when she doesn't seem to be getting any joy from it herself.
And obvs on the trans rights stuff she's bang on the money.
The gay seems sweet, but not on the level of Kate and Ava in terms of brains or gravitas.
