The video is pretty SHIT (boobrate though) but at least you get to see the hot bassist and drummer.

Everyone's favourite bearded modern synthpop gay! The bass in this KILLS ME. I want to hear it in a club and feel the floor THROBBING. Shame he didn't make a video for it.

That was the one. The lyrics were quite banal but nailed the 'provincial bloke suddenly hits superstardom' vibe.
 
John Grant more great music than I appreciate. Disappointing with Tracey Thorn is the tits.
 
He also does a smashing cover of ABBAs My Love My Life.

He certainly knows his gay references.
 
BC Camplight - I'm Desperate (2018)

I tend to think of BC aka BRIAN as the straight, underachieving John Grant. Another beardy, witty American who loves a keyboard. In 2015 he was deported from the UK after overstaying his visa due to an injury, and consequently wrote his "Deportation Blues" album from which this comes. He fucking HATES Theresa May and the Tories in general which is obviously excellent.

Charlotte Gainsbourg - Sylvia Says (2017)

Yes she is Serge's daughter in case some FOOL don't know and yes she does music as well as acting. Very splendid electro music in fact. This of course channels everyone's favourite cheery bird Sylvia Plath.
 
Now I think of it I probably should have saved this for an ASFM. Oh well. Maybe it's too well known.
