I half watched Da Kath and Kim Code last year and i really quite enjoyed it :shy:

I'm more of a casual fan though. I don't think i've seen anything from after series 2. It strikes me as something i might enjoy now i'm a bit older so i should probably revisit the lot.

I love it so much. It's so observational, so it's one of those rare comedies that gets funnier the more you watch it. I swear I've seen some of the episodes upwards of 40 times.

I've only ever seen series 1-2, but those I can probably quote word for word. I love them an enormous amount. I'm a bit OVAH it now, but still love to repeat some of the favourite quotes in my head from time to time (see: signature).

I've only seen bits of series 3 and 4, and would get them on DVD but there isn't any Region 2's of them is there? They're not as funny as series 1-2 from what I've seen, but I'd still like them for the sake of having them.

Da Kath & Kim Code was a bit rubbish I thought.

In fact, why haven't I seen this thread sooner?! Those 6 pages had better be filled with K&K quotes and NOTHING ELSE!

"You wanna a threw for your carch?"

"It's been decliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiined"

"I think you swiped it the wrong way..."

*scowls* "Yes, that's done it..."

Me too. It rewards on repeat viewings.

PS:

On 9 March 2011, Turner and Riley announced plans for a movie, in which, Kath, Kim, Kel, Brett, Sharon and Epponee head overseas on a holiday. Contracts have been written to finance the movie entitled The Kath and Kim Filum which is due to hit cinemas in 2012.[7] The movie will be directed by Ted Emery and produced by Rick McKenna.

Pru and Trude had better be in the film. Perhaps they could have them in new jobs as check-in ladies at the airport or working as air hostesses.

I've been inspired to put a few episodes on tonight...

"There's an idea Sharon, you could go as the PLASTIC BAG from AMERICAN BEAUTY!" :D

My favourite movie is SHALLOW HAL

Why Kim because you're FAT?

No because I'm SHALLOW? God mum you're so RUDE TO ME!

one of the most genius lines ever in comedy. It makes me PROPER L O L

Magda Szubanski came out as a lesbian this week.

This is a lovely interview. Also she looks fucking fab. She's FIFTY!

I thought she was already out? Good for her anyway.

She was on the cover of some Aussie version of WOMAN when I was out there and you're right she's looking great. Really caused me to do a double take.

I'm afraid I've never really understood the applause people get JUST FOR BEING GAY

Let alone someone who has been closeted up until they're 50...

She says in that interview that she's always been open, she's just never gone on television and said it before.

She's a fairly minor star so I doubt she's ever faced the kind of scrutiny that forced her to actively hide it.

IS she a fairly minor star? She was a main character on one of the most successful Australian tv shows of the past decade, as well as long before having a comedy career?

Still, I just don't get the applause at ALL.

Well every little helps, doesn't it? I don't think she's a heroine or anything, but it's a nice gesture of solidarity at a politically sensitive time (She did it now because the gay marriage debate is up for discussion in Australia and Julia Gillard is refusing to support it) and it's always better coming from somebody who a lot of people who may not be particularly interested in gay rights like and can relate to.

If she'd spent years vehmently denying it I'd like her less for it, but she doesn't strike me as a limelight chaser, she just seems like she wanted to keep her private life private. Which is FAIR ENOUGH really.

I cannot wait for this!

"How much for the threw? 1 Euro? No?"
"Do you speak English? Bye bye!"

And some new Prue and Trude action from the Logies in Australia.....

CAN'T WAIT. I saw Da Kath & Kim Code a year or so back and rather loved it. I really should catch up with the later series actually.

Oh and -

Da Kath & Kim Code is really patchy, but I think enough time has passed for them to have enough ideas to flesh this one out. I am SO excited about it. The last series was a real return to form IMO.

I don't know if I've even seen the last series... it all went a bit weird on the BBC schedule (no surprise there)

the film will probably just be a collage of old jokes, but I'll probably love it anyway :disco:

It's bizarre that series 3 and 4 didn't get released in the UK. I'm sure the first two sold well.
