I can kind of see why it wasn't a huge hit (although the video, which I love in all its cannibalist gourmet absurdity, will soon hit 1bn views) but this is a such an hypnotic, nutritious slice of EDM-infused pop. Even though it feels a bit A&R-calculated (along with Swish Swish) as a sparse, Dark Horse-aping number, I actually think Bon Appetit is a much better song in every respect (my joint favourite Katy Perry song in fact) and the fact that it's so severely slept on makes me sad.
