Anyway - what do you make of this utter classic?

this write-up is possibly better than the song itselfInspired by the Stereogum US number ones series reaching it. And frankly, his review of just laughing at how good it was the first time he heard it feels on the mark to me - what a WORLD WONDER of POP
quite an emotional read somehow... Katheryn's power. He’s such a good writer. I always enjoy these articles, even about songs I don’t care aboutthis write-up is possibly better than the song itself![]()
I think I even enjoy the ones about songs I don't care about more a lot of the time! The piece for D4L - Laffy Taffy was really good at nailing down just how much the pop of each era tends to be shaped by the dominant consumer tech of the time. He’s such a good writer. I'm pleased to say that, a decade on, I've just about emerged from the dark period where I found the HOMOSEXUALS IN BLAZERS Glee cover to be the definitive version
I'd not quite clocked before that all those songs were on the same record. Teenage Dream (the album) and a Katy Perry Greatest Hits would basically be the SAME THING
(not that I'd really want to listen to it)
Or maybe even her other actual hitswith bonus tracks DAISIES and SMILE.
Fun for JAPAN bonus, perhapsHarleys in Hawaii AGOG![]()
Fun for JAPAN bonus, perhaps

IWEMA was the bop of ‘09 and I will not hear anything else!along with Latin America bonuses If We Ever Meet Again (Feat. Timbaland) and Stratrukk (With 3OH!3)![]()
I’ve now paid to become a member of stereogum for his new series on the number ones on the alternative chart. The first one was Peek-a-boo by Siouxsie and the Banshees and was a good read tooI think I even enjoy the ones about songs I don't care about more a lot of the time! The piece for D4L - Laffy Taffy was really good at nailing down just how much the pop of each era tends to be shaped by the dominant consumer tech of the time.
A Katy Greatest Hits would actually rival The Immaculate Collection
Show me the LIEI was happily browsing and stumbled upon this comment.
Now my night is ruined.
it would be my (third) favourite song on it!I would be willing to tolerate ‘Roar’ on a Katy Perry Greatest Hits.

That’s the whole point. One crashing cliche is and insult to songwriting, but when you have SO MANY it’s clearly a deliberate vibe and you should just turn your brain off and enjoy it,It's literally a chain of clichés! And I rarely care much about lyrics, so at the point things have been taken so far I'm grated...
quite! it's hardly coincidenceThat’s the whole point.

Firework is unlistenable
