Ah genuinely saddening. RIP Kev, an LFC legend. Wish he'd been able to finish off the 1996 title with Newcastle too.

The defending may have been what cost them the title in the end in matches like this, but the Liverpool 4 Newcastle 3 games from the time still rank amongst the most thrilling & intense in the history of the top flight. I always enjoyed Kev's gung-ho management style, it made for very entertaining football.
