Kygo & Donna Summer - Hot Stuff

His next target is Donna Summer - apparently Hot Stuff, as soon as next week

Colour me intrigued, but it may confuse things slightly with the new mixes coming out for the reissue of The Wanderer.

is there really an entire album of these coming or what? :D i love Hot Stuff but...

Hot Stuff? He's becoming a bit predictable with the song choices, isn't he? I bet at one point (if there's an album) it will include It's Raining Men and Living On A Prayer :gross:

how did the interns end up with their own show interviewing A-list DJs?

The memes have already started circulating, of which this is my favourite for obvious reasons.

Not feeling the Donna Summer one (From the clip but also in theory). Anything that makes me think of Aunties heading to the dance floor at a wedding is a no from me.

I just wish he'd make more creative choices for songs to revive in this style. Donna Summer has such a rich back catalogue he could draw from.

I'd be well up for a Kygo-ified State of Independence, for example. :disco:

Or just bung it in the CILLA DEAD thread. Her death is a gift that keeps on giving.

Yeah, it's fine in a 'at least it'll be on the radio and maybe expose some kids to Donna', but it's pretty pointless.

Shame, as I think when he does them well they are great.

Gosh this really is completely pointless, isn't it?

If I'm looking for a bold and forward-thinking reinvention of Hot Stuff, I think I'll stick to THE WOLF :disco:

He's finally done it and made a Donna remix even worse than any of the ones on that "Love To Love You Donna" album from a few years back.

This did give me a chuckle this afternooon.

Meh but worth it for the memes. I don't think the Tina one really came off that well either.

Now that Looking Up reworking is a Donna worthy mix :disco:

Ok I’ve really come around to this.

I know it’s shit, but it’s semi addictive.

I don't think I've listened to Love To Love You Donna more than once. And now I've listened to this once. Job done. Back the glorious originals again now.

The "Bad Girls" remix was the only one I liked from it. I'm giving the album a listen again now to see if anything else sticks.
