Kylie - Disco (album 15) (1 Viewer)

Good that she has kept her lead. It will be disappointing if she holds it all week and then falls below at the end when they add the extra streaming data.

SIGN SOMETHING KYLIE :disco:

If Jesy continues to be INDISPOSED, Little Mix might not be able to do the same.

Praying Jesy HAS left so they can’t count her vinyl in the final tally.

What are the streaming 'tricks' to guarantee maximum sales impact? I never normally give this sort of thing any consideration.

What would be an ideal RPM (speaking as a vinyl novice)?

I don’t need it at 45 RPM when I have a record player which you have to change the belt position manually each time you change speed.

I've not followed it (or looked at the rules which are available on the OCC website) but someone on SayHey is claiming we shouldn't get streaming Magic or Say Something, because the top two tracks get adjusted to bring the average down. Or something.

She had the dollar sign until Dr Luke raped her and then it all seemed rather pointless.

BUT STREAMING MAGIC AND SAY SOMETHING WILL HELP THEM GO TOP 40.

IT’S ONLY WORTH OMITTING THEM IF YOURE GOING TO STREAM THE WHOLE ALBUM CONTINUOUSLY BETWEEN NOW AND 2359 ON WEDNESDAY

I actually really like Monday blues now (though I still think they should have swapped it around with Fine Wine on the track list) but its position is quite jarring particularly since it follows the three cooler sounding cuts.

Say Something would have benefitted from being track 4 followed by Supernova because that's the point at which the album turns more CAMP DISCO.

So you create a playlist consisting of all the other tracks or just skip them?

This is too confusing.

Yeah that’s correct. But for the singles chart they are obviously ones to gun for to try get them top 40 or at least top 75.

To be honest it takes so bloody long to rack up any streaming sales that a bunch of people using ‘tricks’ won’t change bugger all. You’re better off just buying another physical copy - that’ll help more.

Yes, it's pretty negligible. I'm streaming it hard as it's the way I listen to music now, but I'm not leaving on repeat or anything.

afraid not. I imagine the numbers are better this time though.

They are naturally doing much better. The still have 6 songs in the Spotify top 200 (Kylie has none).

However, it will be close. Ariana did 18k of stream 'sales' last week. LM will probably do about half of that given how much bigger she was on streaming. So somewhere around 9k. Day 1 streaming is counted in the above and will be one of the biggest. So I'd assume from here on out they'll add about 1k a day in streaming sales, to Kylie's probably like 200. But she is ahead on iTunes/Amazon and the like. So if she can outsell them physically by a few hundred a day it'll be very close.

KYLIE’S LEAD HAS INCREASED AND NOT DECREASED IN THE SECOND SALES UPDATE OF THE WEEK (WHICH IS THE FIRST TO INCLUDE STREAMING FIGURES) SO SHE’S GOT MORE THAN A GOOD CHANCE

I know it doesn't mean much but she's still iTunes number one in the States.

She also seems to have this weirdly increased presence there from the get go which I haven't really noticed before.

Watch some frat guys review Disco:
