Yeah. @Christian makes it seem like she's going through the motions but she's clearly still very inspired by music and isn't that something as fans, we should be appreciative of?

To be fair, the Padam link to Tension makes it her best known album in years, even if only gays bought it…

I'm still excited about Tension, but am not at all (yet - I await the unheard tracks) about Tension II, because the collaborations with the exception of EOSN (which feels like a Blessed Madonna track rather than a Kylie one) are pretty rotten to average.
 
What happened to the NKOTB collaboration? I never even heard that - wasn't it pulled from streaming and is only on their physical album?

It's not even on that as far as I know. It's been scrapped, I'd assume.
 
Dance Alone was Sia's song. Her album tanked. Why it's ended up on this (aside from the 30 million streams it has clocked up) is anyone's guess. Oh wait, maybe I've answered my own question.

Midnight Ride much as I like it, doesn't seem like it'll fit the soundscape so I can only suppose it's been included for the same reasons.

My Oh My was (in my opinion) terrible but clearly they thought Bebe (not so much Tove) would help sell the song. Didn't work out...though they are hardly going to exclude it given that it is the only one of the collaborations actually released by BMG.

EOSN is a banger and I'll fight anyone who says it isn't.

I'll judge the rest of the album on its own merit.

There were loads of issues on various streaming services with the inclusion of 10 out of 10 on Tension (since it was on a different label) and I'm sure there will be for these collabs too. Makes sense for them to be at the end of the album.

She already used that title for the extended remixes album.
 
On that note, I hope we don't get a Tension II extended. Aside from the odd track the previous one wasn't much cop and even Disco extended (which is far superior) isn't what it could have been

They really should have created extended mixes at the time of recording rather than getting the album mixer to do it.

Well I mean for the fans/stans/lovers - whatever you want to call them. There will always be a hits element to her shows but for fans who want to hear new material, it's nice to have a tour devoted to a specific album. We aren't all as lucky as Swifties.

It’s still ten minutes to midnight here and I honestly may fall asleep between now and then after my exhausting day fretting over the tour tickets 🛌
 
The Confidence Man remix is apparently amazing and the extended mix is supposedly a properly thought through version unlike other BMG extended versions.
