Kylie Netflix Documentary

Also the revelation that she was undergoing IVF treatment at the time of her first diagnosis is quite something.

Some new bits on the official store!

And now the ribbon on the t-shirt makes more sense

Woke up to this news this morning and it is such a shock - almost as shocking as when I first heard the news back in 2005. Her cancer experience has always felt like something that was in her past, that she got through it and she was a survivor. It’s horrible to think she had to go through it all over again.

I'm through two of them, it's really watchable - a looooot of time to cover in episode 3 though..

Think I'm going to wait until the weekend. From my understanding it is more of a portrait of rather than a retrospective and I think I much prefer that approach.

Watched the first episode this evening and there are so many great moments. Lovely to her family together, now and then. And a particular highlight was seeing Loyd Grossman and Robert Robinson - of all people!! - ripping her to shreds. I didn’t realise Loyd was such a BITCH!

I watched the first episode and it was excellent. It’s fascinating how much old personal footage she/they have. Since she was only here for a hot minute back in the day we didn’t get much of her in America.

I think this is the first time I’ve ever seen the brother.

I felt bad for Jason at the end.

I watched the whole thing. The 90s was my favourite bit. She seemed so cool, looked incredible, and made really bold moves.

It was sad that she never really seemed to get over Michael Hutchence.

Dannii truly had no fucks to give, and she was almost like the "dark" version of Kylie the documentary needed (Kylie herself often didn't have much to say).

I agree. Kylie, as lovely and wonderful as she is etc etc, isn't really all that interesting as a personality.

The documentary was brilliantly produced though. Loved the first two episodes especially.

CGYOOMH has been increasing daily streams over the last couple of weeks - it's gone from around 650k daily to just over 900k yesterday. And at 894k total, hopefully all this Netflix hype will see it hit a billion in the next few months.
And has now just topped a million daily.

I've just gone in.

Pleased to see barely four minutes in we have a MINOGUE BOXFRESH MOMENT :disco:

Kylie has always been more about the product than the personality. I don’t see it as a problem since she’s just doing her job but it was fun to see her grumpy in those home vids of her and Jason. She rarely lets down the gloss of “KYLIE”.

Kylie has been fiercely protecting her "brand" since the early 90s. I don't expect that mask ever to slip.
