Kylie - Padam Padam (1st single, May 18th)

From a non-fan perspective this does feel like the biggest thing she’s done since CGYOOMH. She seems to have a knack for this sort of rejuvenating pop moment.

Extended mix on her website now for 75p. Get them last day fan sales Kylie :disco:

I HEAR IT AND I KNOW

I saw on one of the facebook fan pages there is talk she may be perfoming on the Britain's Got Talent final which is coming up. I hope so!

The extended mix is fantastic. :o

I wonder if we're getting an extended version of the album too.

A Kylie singles chart watch thread in 2023 is all a bit Twilight Zone-esque.

Come on Kylie, add the extended mix to spotify. I promise I will stream it on loop and get you those sales xoxox

SUPPOSEDLY it may be added to streaming tomorrow, as today's streams don't contribute to tomorrow's chart but today's sales do

up to 39 on Apple Music. adding the extended tomorrow would be smart.

It's my limited understanding that Spotify will not register plays of looped songs. Or am I wrong? Someone with better knowledge, please correct me.

OH. I'll play it once every half hour then. For a a fortnight.
Otherwise she will be banned from the chart like when The Modern's family went and bought all the singles from Woolies!

I've had a quick look and it seems looped songs are counted. Anything that's played for over 30 seconds is registered as a stream, regardless of what songs are played before/after

It’s a marathon, not a sprint. If it’s taking off (which signs are great - #110 on Spotify without big playlist support and several days in a row of climbing), then it will get added and rise up accordingly. A performance or two will help but there’s little impact outside of 1k or so extra downloads in one week. She doesn’t need to blow her load in week one, they just need to keep up with the versions, remixes and extending the campaign out smartly.

I'm adjusting my expectations now. top 25 is looking certain. I think the next goal should be for it to out-peak Into the Blue (#14).

I'd insert a Your Disco Needs You meme but that's sending the wrong impression and backing the wrong campaign.
