Kylie - Padam Padam (1st single, May 18th)

The CD single week may be it’s best shot, but I assume she won’t be like Ed or Lewis and do 20k…but if she did like 5k and is settled in on streaming she might have a shot? But I’m thinking top 20 is the more likely result overall.

and it just being A list on Capital which I can't imagine has happed since All the Lovers or Higher, and R2 etc, and the physical single release, will that even make a dent if streaming starts to fall?
 
For those in the know, on average, how long does it take a hit song which isn't by one of the big hitters to normally land in the top 10?
 
Streaming is the biggest factor. But given she’s playlisted well (incredibly well given its a 55 year old woman with a solo song), I think she will hold up well on streaming.

That Ella Henderson sample of Robert Miles is only peaking now, I’d guess around three months after release?

Ok given that this is on the cusp of going viral though (I still don't think it technically has), should we be seeing faster movement or is 10 days unrealistic?
 
It’s very much a marathon, not a sprint. If it genuinely continues to take off to A HUGE level it will probably take a couple of weeks for airplay, playlisting and just general knowledge of the track to sink in.
 
Let’s be real here though, it’s performance so far is huge for a Kylie track - to the point that I’m stunned.
 
Apparently she's gracing the front cover of the Daily F**l tomorrow with the success of this.

I can't view that attachment but I have been waiting for a pic of Geru (Mrs Horner & Undisputed First Lady of Formula 1) and Kylie in Monaco together
 
There's a lot of upside in the songs above her too. She's going to climb.

If she goes top ten, then it really is the comeback of the century. Not since Believe, right? On a lesser scale and in a different climate, admittedly.
 
No one can deny Kate's success but we are talking about an original song here and not a classic featured in a highly successful Netflix show that frankly people should have known anyway.
 
Lovers, I don’t know if it’s just the morello cherry gin just kicking in but I started tearing up halfway through listening to Padam Padam thinking of how much it’s taken over the Gay Internet and finally giving her a hit after so many years. It’s just a very special moment.
