I think it's a shame because it sits apart from the other collabs in that it was very much pushed as a Kylie project and a proper singal, but maybe it just doesn't sit comfortably alongside the rest of the tracks if they're going in a more electronic direction for this.
 
Why did they use that tacky zodiac image for the main cover when they have these images?

I'm quite impressed with the people involved. She's had a noticeable upgrade in the writing (and no doubt, production) stakes.

I've just worked out the cover! She's riding on a swing you might find in a bird cage. It's a reference to her 80s tabloid nickname of being a SINGING BUDGIE :disco:
 
It says something when fans can come up with a much more polished and professional looking product.

Granted but she's probably saving her pennies anyway.

If Studio Moross were behind this one too well then she just needs to get rid.
 
That diamond picture is so much more striking and it ties in with the first album. Madness.

If a song just works out to be short... fine, but having one after the other like that I just hope it doesn't come off as a bit slight or unfinished.

Still excited for more Minogue. I'm not ordering anything yet mind, in case they do come up with a deluxe CD. Being BMG I'm assuming another digital deluxe is inevitable.
 
I'd love a deluxe with Running.

I notice the tracks she recorded with Zhone and Lostboy are not included - I wonder if they've been held over for the next album?

Apparently Someone For Me was pitched for Tension (I) but PADAM was chosen over it.
 
Someone For Me (based on the snippet) is VERY Troye Sivan Rush coded which isn't surprising considering it's largely from the same team.
 
"Hello" is a new song apparently and not the one that leaked last year.

I bit for the digital deluxe last time out with those bonus tracks, and wasn't it still only a fiver or something? So yes, I think I'll hold off any physical format this time. I can't even remember how many copies of Disco and Tension I have, but I know that other than the Infinite Disco DVD, none have been played.

I'm hoping that the fact my interest in this is relatively low, may help me break the habit of buying physical Kylie formats. She's the last act I do it for.

I will likely end up buying a physical copy but I'm assuming they will be dropping a deluxe version on the week of a release so I'd rather wait.
 
Loved it when I first heard it bit there's nothing Latin about it. :D

Still think it reminds me a bit of Troye's Rush though (same writers).
 
One track on the album is apparently a distant cousin of Toxic and another is a melancholy outlier:

Minogue, however, teased that the album after ‘Tension II’ will be a “fresh start” for her. It’s one that might see the singer move in the direction of her much-maligned 1997 record ‘Impossible Princess’, which saw a commercial resurgence earlier this decade when it was released on vinyl for the first time in 2022.

“I feel like it’ll be time for something – maybe not as singular as [‘Impossible Princess’] – but to bring some of that back in,” Minogue told NME, revealing that she “already had a few songwriting days in the studio with my closest [collaborators] for whatever’s to come”.

“I’m not sure how much of [what I’m working on] is because [of] where my output has been of late. We’ve been pretty solid on ‘What’s the hit, what’s the hit, what’s the hit’,” she said. “So, it’s some of that slightly meatier kind of the other stuff that I’m really drawn to.”
